Delays? This isn't the airport!

Last week we got word that Fionn's surgery would be delayed.  Only a few weeks so it's not terrible but it is annoying.  I mean we've been waiting since the end of last summer for this.  Not only waiting but planning.  I've had to clear my schedule to be home with Fionn during all of this and only to find out that it's pushed back.  And because there needs weeks of pre-casting, there was never a chance to grab a cancellation slot.  So now instead of March 1st being our first casting day, it is now March 28th.  And they changed is to 3 weeks of casting again instead of 4.  The new surgery day is April 11th.  Cross your fingers that the date sticks this time.

Not much else to is new other then our home has been hit by the nasty winter cold.  I've been pretty lucky not to have been sick much this winter but it has hit me really hard these past couple of weeks.  There has been 2 cases of pneumonia and one case of strep throat at Fionn's daycare/pre-school and I'm hoping it skips him.  He catches pneumonia when there's nothing going around.  Knock on wood he doesn't get it.

I'm slowly getting things organized and trying to secure a wheel chair for when he's in his casts.  He's too big to be in his stroller the whole time.  Besides I don't think it would be that comfortable.  I'm not sure what to expect this time around.  We've been through casting before but he was an iddy-bitty new born.  Now he's a 46 lbs pre-schooler!  Should be interesting to say the least.  Somehow I know we'll manage.  We always do.
